7-credit-card-disasters-who-became-credit-masters: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance

Lately I have been telling myself "Screw the financial industry I can do without their credit. Credit anint nothing but a way to get you trapped into so financial mess that you would not have had had it not seemed enticing to begin with." I know my latest posts were financial in nature, but it is the truth. I am going to get it together and always pay cash. I figure that in all of this, in the end I will not only be mentally stronger when it comes to temptation but I will also be a financial powerhouse when I grow up.

Insprational book #1- Wisdom For Women by Pastor Anita Oyakhilome

Tired of conformity and bandwagons of who and what is hot or not? Pastor Anita tells you that it is okay to be different, unique and wonderful as the woman God has already created you to be.  Unearthed in her book, "Wisdom for Women" are the timeless truths about how to be a great woman (or man) of God. You will understand that you are more than what he or she said you were, and that you are worth more as well.

There are things, like this book, that are before their time (it was published in 1998) but when you come across it and are ready to receive all its contents you will know that you have truly heard from God. When I bought this book, I was ready to receive from God. I just wanted to hear what it was he said about me; what instructions he had for me. I am telling you I was ready to begin living this victorious life that I heard I could live... And you know what he said to me in the first chapter of this book???

He said that I must learn how to possess this vessel of honor, my physical being. Secondly, when he said that I was the "weaker" in ! Peter 3:7,  he meant beautiful, delicate and frail, not weak.

There are many ways to live, but there is really only one way to be alive. Women, there is a reason God created you!!! Find out why.

NJ trip, No more Public Transportation

On Thanksgiving, I found out I had an uncle that lived in NJ. Since I couldn't visit him then I went two weeks later and it was interesting. I took a bus from DC to Philly, than another bus to south NJ. The DC bus was only supposed to be at most 2 hours but it went on to about 4 hours. I sat in the row of seats just in front of the bathroom, and you know that saying "anything that can go bad will?" Well… that blasted door kept swinging open reminding those of us that got there late that we will be smelling people's business all the way to Philly! As if that wasn't bad enough, the force with which the boy, sitting next to the door, used to close that dang thing, made me feel as if I was in a department store walking through the perfume counters; Back when the sales associates used to spray unsuspecting people with scents they really could care less for. Imagine this, "Public restroom, j'adore Public restroom."

I was able to move and sit somewhere else in front that restroom area, next to this guy who seemed harmless. Some perceptions are meant to be ignored!!! He kept elbowing me in my ribs and he had the nerve to snuggle his behind on my leg!!! I kept wanting to tell him "Excuse me, do you not realize that you are sitting? On a chair on a bus? So why are you trying to play yourself by tossing and turning? All it takes is you sitting upright and resting your head back not all this other foolishness you doing. (Translation: You have to wait till the 4th date to snuggle with me boo- boo, LOL!!!)

I was in for the shock of my life when the Bus reached Philly. I didn't realize that that city, more like the actual bus stop and surrounding area was DISGUSTING!!! I thought I wanted to go to school in that area but I know I was lying to myself. The building that I was told to go into to catch the NJ Transit, was like a gathering place for the homeless and the shady…I swear I saw dog poop by the cashier where I bought my ticket to head to South Jersey. Eww!!!" Clean up Aisle 2, Hazmat Aisle 7!!!" When deciding on a Post Graduate School this time I am taking location into account, I cannot be in an ugly city.

Anyway, this trip was the first time I would get to meet someone from my dad's side of the family that was on the east coast. It was a relaxing trip for the most part. I got to watch a movie that I have been anxious to see, and get away for the weekend. Yet I found out some things and realized some things that I wished I had not come across. You know certain things about family members that you could have done without knowing. But, no need in going over that stuff it was not fun when I heard it the first time.

The only thing I really did that weekend was go to my uncle's group "End of the year Party," I was supposed to be an out of town guest, but ended up being an out of town host and new booty to all the men with eyes. Why that comment? Well, I was a new face, no one knew me and I knew no one. The men young and old were salivating.

Playa#1: Married; kids; beer belly and still clubbin; coward, asked a young girl to come up to me to get the hook up.

Playa#2: symbiotic relationship with his phone, too young, short and anti-social.

Playa#3: Extravert; a little slick, very polite

Playa#4: Old enough to be my dad, no other comment.

ALL liked to get "wet" as in drink like fishes and no, not water. Overall that party was fun. I know because my feet were hurting so much I was still in pain on the bus ride home.

 Goodness SMH...
